the Chamber of Commerce Building, which is located at 6 North Main Street in Franklinton.

2008 "FUN IN THE SUN"

The 2008 "Fun in the Sun" is currently scheduled for May 15-17, 2008 on Main Street in Uptown Franklinton.  Vendors
should be receiving event applications beginning next week.  Anyone who would like to request one can e-mail the Chamber
at franklintonchamber@yahoo.com.  More information about "Fun in the Sun" will be posted within the next few weeks.

CURVES FOOD DRIVE

Curves of Franklinton is participating in the Curves Food Drive to help local food banks.  The drive began on March 3 and
will run through March 15.  Curves is offering a discounted service fee of $30.00 for any new member who brings in a bag of
non-perishable foods and commits to a 12-month CD membership between these dates.  For more information, please

"FUN IN THE SUN" CANCELLED

"Fun in the Sun" will not be taking place this year.  We apologize for any inconveniences.  

The Franklinton Fire Department will be having their annual fundraiser on May 17, 2008.  Chicken and pork barbecue plates
will be sold from 11:00 AM until 7:00 PM at the fire station on South Hillsborough Street as well as other area locations.

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT 2008

National Night Out 2008 will take place on August 5, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Franklinton Town Park.  More
information regarding this event will be posted later.

The Chamber would also like to welcome the The Philling Station to Franklinton, located at 2 South Main Street on the

FRANKENFEST ON MAIN

Frankenfest on Main will be held on October 25, 2008 in uptown Franklinton, coordinated by the Franklinton Uptown
Revitalization Committee.  Anyone with inquiries should contact the Franklinton Town Hall at (919) 494-2520.  You can
also visit the Frankenfest on Main website at http://www.frankenfestonmain.org.  Vendor applications are also available on

AUGUST CHAMBER MEETING

All Chamber members are invited to attend the regular meeting on August 4, 2008, which will be held at 6:30 PM at the
Chamber Building.  The purpose of this meeting is to entertain new ideas an suggestions on how the Chamber may be able to

CHRISTMAS PARADE ENTRY & FLOAT APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE

Entry & float applications are now available for the 2008 Christmas Parade which will be held on December 4, 2008.  They
can be picked up at the Franklinton Town Hall or by contacting the Chamber at (919) 494-2259.  You can also e-mail us at
franklintonchamber@yahoo.com.  The applications can also be downloaded as an Adobe PDF file from the main home page.
 All applications must be received no later than November 26, 2008.  The rain date for the Christmas Parade will be
December 11, 2008 if necessary.

We would like to see our Christmas Parade even more spectacular than last year.  Help us spread holiday cheer!  Thank you
for your continued support, and we wish you a wonderful holiday season.
